Ahoy!

Last weekend, our youth group hosted a dinner for the senior citizens of our congregation. I have to admit, this is probably in my top 2 or 3 favorite events we do all year. Our secret plan, of course, is that it is a service project, but we have a theme and try to make it fun at the same time. The first 30 minutes or so is always awkward - what do you say to someone who is 60 years older than you? I always remembered feeling that way. But eventually they start talking and it's awesome to see that no matter the age, you can always relate to someone else. Here are pictures of our 'Pirate Adventure'.

Yum!
One of my favorite couples - we sit behind them in church and just love them to pieces!
They are like our adoptive grandparents. :)
